I am a Citizen of the World
I have also had my own little campaign going to eradicate racist and religious intolerance on the planet by declaring myself a Citizen of the World in ca1985. Declarations are available.

I am the Grandson of the Great Dally Messenger (H.H. Dally Messenger)
I am particularly proud to be the grandson of the illustrious Rugby Union and League player, Cricketer and Yachtsman Dally Messenger (Herbert Henry "Dally" Messenger). Recorded on www.apersonalhistory.com

 DALLY HITS A SIX

This the famous members' stand at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Only three people have ever been recorded as hitting a six "over the clock". Dally Messenger was one. To the the right of the picture is the Dally Messenger Stand.

He is also recorded here by a memorial in the Walk of Honour opened in 2000

1908-1914

Dally was presented in 1914 with this original premiership Shield.
It is the Icon of Rugby League, seen here with me! It is now in the National Museum in Canberra.

The story of the Shield

 

I am the great-grandson of the famous

Charles Arthur Messenger.
He was champion sculler of Victoria in Australia and runner up to the champion of the world on Sydney Harbour.

I am the great-great grandson of James Messenger,
Champion Sculler of England (The Doggett Coat and Badge- 1862) and Bargemaster to Queen Victoria.
