Qualifications and Experience - Celebrancy
Over the years I have been involved in planning and delivering a number of weddings and funerals, sometimes with the assistance of celebrant friends.. I was the original patron of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants from 1995. I have also been legal advisor to the International College of Celebrancy for a number of years from which College I gained my official Statement of Attainment in Marriage Celebrancy. I am currently studying with the College to gain their Diploma.

My Attitude To Ceremony
The substance of the ceremony, for those who are most intimately involved, should be totally authentic. The celebrant should be educated in her role. The celebrant should provide the very best guidance, advice, and, most of all, sufficient resources so that my clients can create (or co-create with my help) a ceremony which will give them a strengthening memory.

Spirituality
I keep in mind that people who seek a civil celebrant are persons without religious affiliation – secular people. This does not mean that my clientele is not spiritual. On the contrary – in my clients I constantly observe a wonderful secular spirituality – the best ideals, moral principles, dedication to goodness, and devotion to relationships – which is inferior to none.
A lot more could be said - but you get the drift.

Fees and Value:
Celebrancy is one area of life you really get what you pay for.

Weddings: $880
(plus travel for long distances).

Funerals
There is no such thing as a short cut to a good funeral. I charge $90 per hour in normal circumstances - times vary from 10 to 30 hours. Your capacity to pay is a careful consideration in the final invoice.

Naming Ceremonies - Usually $440 -
